Consultations and Support Groups |

Consultations:
For families who live in Peel and have concerns about their child's development, a consultation is an appointment with a professional who does a screening to identify if a child might have a developmental problem and should be referred for an extensive assessment. It is a quick appointment, about 20-30 minutes. A consultation is intended for children who have not been referred for special services, such as a diagnosis, assessment or already receiving services.
- PEP-Start Clinics In Peel consultations are also offered through PEP-Start clinics, which is a drop-in, no fee clinic for families with children newborn to 5 years of age. PEP-Start offers parents an opportunity to consult with professionals from community agencies in any or all of the following: Child Development, Health and Nutrition, Speech and Language, Parenting and Behaviour.
